The Verified badge

A badge is only worth what stands behind it. That's why we start with what it does not claim.

What it doesn't say

Not a certification. Not a security audit. Not a regulatory approval. Not legal advice. No promise that using the tool is permitted at any particular company. It says: a human used this tool on this date and wrote down what they found, as set out in our Disclaimer.

What stands behind it

Used	Account created, core feature tried (e.g. generating and exporting a deck), three screenshots from the running app.
Rated	6 criteria using a published formula, not negotiable.
Sourced	8 privacy questions, each with a source and check date.
Dated	Every claim carries its review date. After 180 days it gets re-reviewed.

The three states

The badge is a file on our server, not an image you copy, so the embed code always loads our current version. We regenerate it with every site update: if a review is suspended or expires, the badge changes with the next update – usually the same day.

Review is on file and current.

Older than 180 days. The badge stays visible but carries the notice.

Listing without a review. The embedded badge says so on your website, too.

Questions about the badge

Is the badge a certification?

No. It means a human used this tool on a specific date and recorded what they found. It's not an audit, not a regulatory approval, and not legal advice.

What does the badge cost?

It's part of the Verified tier, a one-time USD 39. There's no annual fee and no renewal to pay for, and the re-review every 180 days is free as well.

When does it get suspended?

If the website is permanently unreachable, if published information demonstrably no longer holds, or if you don't respond to a re-review. We'll contact you first.

Can I modify it?

No: not the color, the text, or the date, and it must not look like a regulatory approval. The link to your listing is part of it, so anyone can check what it's based on.
